Experienced instructor JJ Ferguson, PT, DPT, DscPT, who has presented at both CSM and AAOMPT, will present a full-day lab course on "Cervicothoracic Conditions that Mimic Arm Pain."  The morning session is geared toward licensed physical therapists, while the afternoon session is open to both PTs and PTAs.

Morning Session:

Cervicothoracic Conditions that Mimic Arm Pain — Differential & Focused Exam (Lab)

· Differentiate cervical/thoracic/radicular vs. shoulder/elbow sources; key red flags (myelopathy/CAD).

· Lab: UQ neuro screen, ULTT (median/radial/ulnar), Spurling/distraction, thoracic mobility, PAIVMs, scapular assist.

Afternoon Session:

Treatment Lab — Manual Therapy, Neurodynamics, and Exercise Progressions

· Manual therapy: thoracic thrust/non-thrust, cervical mobilization/traction, cervicothoracic MWM/NAGS/SNAGS.

· Neurodynamic sliders/tensioners; DNF/scapulothoracic control; graded exposure → strength → return to work/sport.

· Clear PT/PTA role delineation (implementation, monitoring, escalation criteria).

Participants will receive an APTA SD certificate for approved CE upon completion.  Full day participants qualify for 8 CE's.  Half day participants will receive 4 CE's.
